How does the deposit work?
I require a $100 deposit at the time of booking to secure a client's appointment date and time. This is a non-refundable retainer fee that goes toward the session. I accept deposits via credit card (using Square, Inc.) or check. Please contact me before making a deposit. If a client needs to reschedule he or she must do so within one year from the time the deposit was placed, otherwise the deposit will be forfeited. If a client cancels the session more than twice the $100 deposit will be forfeited. The balance is due at the time of the session. The fee covers my time, talent and technical resources-, and I determine basic creative editing of images. At the studio, I accept cash, check or credit card. If a client decides to pay for the session via cash, the client must bring the exact amount. Orders will not be processed until payment in full is received.
Unless it’s a family or group package being purchased, session packages are for individuals only and are not to be shared.
What forms of payment do you accept?
At the studio I accept cash or check. If you decide to pay for the session via cash please make sure to bring exact change. Sarah does not accept credit card at the studio. Session balances can be paid with a credit card prior session date, contact Sarah to arrange a credit card payment.
What if I need to reschedule my session?
I understand that things come up and that sometimes a client needs to reschedule a session. If an illness or situation prevents a photo session from taking place, the client may reschedule without penalty if they do so at least 24 hours prior to their session. Should the client fail to give 24 hours notice, or decide to completely cancel the shoot, the $100 deposit will be forfeited and not be refunded. Sarah Morreim Photography reserves the right to reschedule because of illness, weather, equipment malfunction or other circumstances beyond control. Clients must reschedule sessions within one year from the time the deposit was placed, otherwise the deposit will be forfeited. If the client cancels the session more than twice the $100 deposit will be forfeited.
When will I get my photos, and how long will my proofs be available for review?
Typically it takes 3-5 business days for clients to receive their proofs. Rush orders are available for an additional fee.
Proof galleries will be available for 30 days from the time of the session. Clients are expected to place their orders within that time. I typically send a reminder to clients if I don’t hear from them right away. However, if the client has not contacted me and has not ordered after 90 days, the gallery will be removed and the session deleted.
I require full payment for prints and products at the time of ordering. No order will be designed or submitted until paid in full.
Do you use natural or studio light?
Both! It allows for a variety of looks.
I wear glasses – is that a problem?
It will be if your lenses aren't anti-glare. Please make certain they are before your session because editing out glass glare can be problematic. If you don’t wear glasses but want to bring some as a prop, you still need to make sure the glasses are anti-glare.
Do I own the images?
Before the session I ask clients to review and sign a Copyright Disclosure and Acknowledgement Form. The form outlines the ways clients are licensed to use the photographs taken by Sarah Morreim Photography, as well as the rights reserved by the photographer under copyright law.
